Still #1 for shopautodotca seocontest: But WHY?

So my site is still in #1 for shopautodotca seocontest... though things are moving around drastically below me. This makes me very very nervous for my shopautodotca seocontest blog.

Honestly the fact that I am in #1 for shopautodotca seocontest in Google still surprises me, and really runs counter to a lot of what I know about search engines. Sites are moving around beneath me for rank in shopautodotca seocontest, and this I will attribute to a surge of links being created and recognized by Google. But my site has had no "surge" of links... sure 1 link 2 links 3 links 4.... but nothing you could call a shopautodotca seocontest "surge" of links.

I do know that Google has greater respect for quality links, created organically. I have created my links slowly in comparison, and I don't have near as many links (a huge understatement) as the other competitors. I was under the impression that it took a while for Google to notice the quality of the links, however.

I know as well that I have considerable content related to the shopautodotca seocontest. While there are a few other sites that are as "large" (meaning losts of pages) but most of these pages are not "shopautodotca seocontest" pages. Which I know will surely work to my advantage in the shopautodotca seocontest.

So today my shopautodotca seocontest site shifted briefly to #4 in Google, and though now it is in #2 for shopautodotca seocontest, this made me see that I still have a lot to do to retain the top position for keywords "shopautodotca seocontest".

It was suggested to me by Matt Huggins that I try to remove my pages from supplemental. So here is what I did to try to do this:

a) previously post pages from this blog had title tags shopautodotca seocontest and meta keywords for the shopautodotca seocontest, now the post pages have shopautodotca seocontest and post title for title tags and no meta description so this will be up to my shopautodotca seocontest post pages content
b) removed archiving of my site, but this does not remove the pages... but they are not in my linking structure anymore, I do not want to delete the pages though... that scares me at this point in the shopautodotca seocontest
c) new sitemap reflecting this and submitted to my shopautodotca seocontest Google webmaster

I had sort of started all this a few days ago but I was sort of sitting on the fence with what I should do (it is so late in the game to be making such major changes in the shopautodotca seocontest, but I like a good gamble once in a while).

So the shopautodotca seocontest is over in 14 days.... 2 weeks that means. Used Car Classifieds Online & Notre Raison d'Etre

Increasingly people are turning to the internet to sell their used items, whether large or small, and webmasters are cashing in on that fact by offering them a place to sell their used goods (ie. used cars like the sponsors of the shopautodotca seocontest).

But what is the viability of this type of business? I know there is a lot of money to be made online (ie. shopautodotca seocontest has prize money), but does the world need another used car classifieds site like the sponsors of the shopautodotca seocontest?

First off for my shopautodotca seocontest post research, I checked Google Trends to see what people were search for. Used cars is a much more important search string than used car classifieds. So for the purposes of this shopautodotca seocontest post, I am going to forget the keywords used car classifieds exist because their reach is unimportant compared to used cars.

Doing a search for used cars in Google, I see that there are many providers of this type of service. The top result may be familiar to some of you ;-) (before shopautodotca seocontest there was carcasherdotcom seocontest). I checked out the top few sites and they were all pretty nice, and they all had many listings on their sites. And I am sure that the top sites for this search string have no problem getting people/dealers to find their site and post their listings.

While looking through the ShopAuto.ca site the sponsors of the shopautodotca seocontest, I got the feeling that there was something different about this site, something that set them apart from other used car classifieds sites. Since they are the sponsors of the shopautodotca seocontest, I am trying to focus on the viability of this particular site.

I love that you guys are calling me "the Blogger", it makes me giggle. But it's true! What is funny is that I have tried to start blogs before the shopautodotca seocontest, and I never wrote more than a few posts. I wonder why I started blogging and loving it in the shopautodotca seocontest?
