Beefsteak or Steakpotatoes & More Seocontest Nonsense for Easter
So let me tell you about this burger: It was a bacon cheeseburger with mozarella cheese on a ciabatta bun. And I also had french fries with gravy on the side and the french fries were the kind that are really wide and flat... I think they are called beefsteak or something like that (but beefsteak is a funny name for french fries because it makes reference to beef twice but says nothing about the potatoes, I would call them steakpotatoes). Yum. I wish I had another now. Or a soft taco supreme perhaps.
Can I find nothing else to comment on than food anyways? Probably not. Maybe I should mention my shopautodotca seocontest blog? Naw.
So Easter is coming up next week, for those who celebrate it. I am not a religious person, I don't go to church or anything. I eat pancakes on Pancake Day and I like the whole Easter bunny and Easter egg hunt tradition, and the big family meal where I make a big roast chicken with stuffing and all the rest (a family favourite, my stuffing is REALLY good, it has pine nuts in it and other surprising additions). But the Jesus thing, not my cup of tea I guess. I used to be an altar girl but that was mostly because I enjoyed being at the front and ringing the little bells and we used to eat those cracker things in the back room and have sips of wine before we put them inside the little gold house with the curtain that for some reason you had to store them in. Like I understand they think that the crackers and wine are of Christ and all, but why the little gold house. WWJD? I think Jesus would give the money that bought the gold house to some more charitable use. At least I hope so. I will stop talking about Jesus now, and about religion. Having a deep interest in both philosophy and anthropology, I have a theory about Jesus and religion that is, while well-intentioned, is offensive to people who are religious and who knows who is reading this. I absolutely respect people who have religious convictions however, and I sort of wish I did. It's just hard to believe in something you do not believe in.
Anyways, as I was saying, yay Easter. My grandmaman and grandpapa come down from North Bay and I love them very much, so this is a good thing. My dad drinks beer with my grandpapa all day on Easter and they play cribbage, while accusing each other of cheating. And they do yard work together. My grandpapa is 81. Amazing. I make the roast chicken and stuffing (from scratch) and "the vegetable" (usually baby carrots with a bit of butter and some dill weed) and the gravy. My mom and grandmaman make the mashed potatoes (I will roast them some garlic too and they can add it). We have the Easter egg hunt, then we eat... I am so looking forward to this meal. I start looking forward to stuffing and gravy and roast chicken and mashed potatoes and the vegetable a month before (we have it Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas!). It takes all day to make so really, who would spend all day doing that unless it was the holidays.
I have almost all the stuff for the Easter egg hunt too. And I bought the cutest little bunny at Starbucks tonight. So sweet and it's tail is a little flower and it's pink and made of yarn. Love my new bunny friend.
